I don't trust the Federal Reserve either, especially in their foresight and predictions. I think their so called "service" in this area is quite poor and was one of the main reasons how they lied their way into existance to begin with, promising no more panics and depressions. Total BS lie that Congress and President Wilson bought into. In 1913 we got the Federal Reserve and the Federal Income Tax. The real purpose of the Federal Reserve is to protect banks from panics, depressions and defaults and not protecting mainstreet from the same. The way this works is they pump our Federal Government to borrow as much money as possible to earn interest on that debt in an exponential way over a very long period of time. The private owners behind the Federal Resereve whom are still secret, take all the interest payments backed by real taxpayers and buy real hard assets with them. There is very small risk of defaults because they have the power to suck as much income tax as they want. I think they are trying to use all the trillions in interest generated to try to buy up as much of the world's resources as possible for power is what they want, they have all the money they need. Yes the Federal Reserve does return "excessive" profits today to the Federal Government but they are still raking in a lot of money for doing very little. They also know a lot about what markets will do, so their banker pals most likely know in advance when the tightenings and loosenings of credit will occur. Their secret owners can make a killing in the dervatives markets and used those proceeds to buy more hard assets and resources.
