Gold still needs to clear 1700 with gusto to make me feel better about it...

gold seems to be doing rather 'predictable' again, as in up yesterday, up once more today, and up twice more tomorrow

for those who try to lazily manage portfolios with predictability, tolerable volatility, and bail-me-out-if-i-am-wrong-on-timing backstop, gold is not the asset to beat but to hold

celebrated arriving of the dragon by partaking food, and as gold is up and doing its thing, we decided to skip the chinese stuffing, made a concession to thai food culture (a stick of chicken satay), and chowed down on that which the europeans like but must austere away, and so we helped to balance the trade equation :0)
