But he believes in the Constitution and he'd fight to protect it. He's not a perfect candidate. I agree and on some issues, but can't really defend him on others. However, Obama is much worse in my opinion when it comes to Civil Liberties. You can dislike Ron Paul, because of his opinion on that Civil Rights Act, but Obama just signed the NDAA, which gives him power to detain and assassinate American citizens based on his own determinations.

So Ron Paul has opinions, but Obama has verifiably acted against the Constitution he swore to uphold in his Oath of Office. That's a red line for me and he has lost my vote as a result. For me, it really is that simple. I will vote for whoever his competition is. I hope his competition is Hillary, but doubt that it will be.
