I think we're about to discover just how hypnotized the working class (R)'s are! I wonder how many are calculating THEIR effective tax rate as we speak? After I wrote that I checked... I'm at 33%, so he's at less than half my tax rate with X* my income. And I have no deductions except the standard deduct and charitable contributions. It does piss me off because he's such a pompous know it all SOB. (And by the way I think this is a serious issue. Lots of research on how the human psyche reacts to absolutes relative to comparable fairness. People don't mind paying a lot, as long as they are treated fairly. Once they perceive they are not being treated fairly, they lose it and behave irrationally).
