Having had to reinstall Windows - plus every application I used - many times, I really don't see how people tolerated it. It wasn't even necessarily viruses. I had at least one total reinstall that was necessitated by a buggy update from Microsoft.

I installed Windows 7 on my new iMac in anticipation of using it for software that I couldn't get on the Mac side. I have yet to find any and almost never boot into it anymore. I actually like the design of Windows 7, I just find I have no need for it.

I also run a Windows XP installation in a VM using Parallels. I also seldom boot into it either, usually just to run the virus and OS updates. I guess it's there if I need it though. :-)
