Obviously the thought of him not being trustworthy had entered this poor woman's mind or she wouldn't have made that comment about it. But in her defense, I think that we (especially women) are indeed brainwashed into believing we should over-ride out instincts when it comes to the "appearance" of racism.

IOW: On the street (or anywhere) we may see a seedy, tough, gangster-like black man that we automatically want to shy away from. But often we will avoid responding to that urge for fear that we will make him think we are doing it solely because of his race.

In this case, political correctness cost her her life!

Too bad she didn't pack some iron... without at least one concealed firearm, you're not properly dressed... what a pity and a horrible shame, and I'm sure there are countless other stories just like that one...
