I have received life threatening e-mails because of some of my research, so I prefer to go by the name fool (tonto). The name issue really is irrelevant.

The information and the recognition of who is posting over a period of time is what is important. Hopefully I will be able to remain annonymous to a certain extent. If it discredits my research, all the better because it will induce additional diligence. Who would trust someone who calls themself Tonto anyway?

M Chen, let me put your fears at rest. I have always found tonto to be trustworthy and never inconsistent. His DD has always been very helpful. He's been with me in RMIL, and did a great deal of work on that one too. I thank him for the work he does everywhere, and i'm glad he keeps himself secret. It's good for him.

M Chen, I will back tonto up on this one. As someone who has also been harassed, I choose to remain anonymous, but not because I have something to hide. Whether using your real name or not, you gain credibility on SI by presenting good information, and by treating others with respect. Tonto has done both of those things, and although I haven't always liked what he has to say about my investments, he's earned my respect.

M Chen: please read all of tonto's posts in his profile. they will speak for themselves. you might also want to do that with people who "shout" about how great a stock is. their past posts are very revealing about them. in my own way, I tried to make some of you think about him. (tokyo).al
