" Did you join OWS in any of their protests?"

I loaned the local campers a portable kerosene heater and some kerosene. Which never returned! But, I'm fine with that.

No, we are not revolutionary war heroes. Neither one of us. I'm afraid I'll have to leave that to the younger generation. They have more to lose than me anyway. I'm 51. I don't know if I could take a night in a cold tent sleeping on the ground in NY in the winter. LOL. Pathetic, eh?

Should I do more? Yes. We all should do more. I do make my voice heard, though, and that's something. When I was younger, you could find me walking the streets and making a stink, because I had my whole future ahead of me. Now, I'm just teaching my kids to stand up for themselves and the country they want to live in.

As I've said many times before, the changes happening to this country are likely to not impact me very much. I'm in the 1%, although I don't like how the 99% are maltreated. Plus, I'm old enough that when the cumulative affect of the destruction of this country and our Constitution hits reality and we end up with a Dictator, it is more likely to happen in my children's lifetime than mine. So that is the generation that is going to have to fight for what my generation took for granted.

I'll use my voice, my donations, and my vote to try to change things, but I'll leave the fighting and protesting in the streets to the next generation. Criticize me all you want, but that's what I can do, so I'm doing it.
