MORMONS WON'T TELL YOU that they think "familiar spirits" are good, and that their Book of Mormon has a "familiar spirit". Leviticus 19:31 says familiar spirits defile one, and are to be avoided at all costs.

Hmm... this is a new one on me.. Never heard of this being actually practiced on an active basis by Mormons.

Grew up in a 50% mormon town and dated a number of mormon gals (who got me to go to seminary with them... ;)

But I can say that the rest of the doctrinal concepts in that link are pretty accurate. Of course, most Mormons either are unaware of them, or they won't discuss them.

I would also add that I wouldn't rely upon Anton LaVey as a source for analyzing the nature of Mormonism..

And for amusement, there is always the correlation between Battlestar Galactica and Mormonism.. ;0)

Btw, some of my best friends are Mormon.. We respect the right of each other to believe what we want, while disagreeing with those beliefs.
