We really loved that little car...the engine was in the back rather than the front....that's why it was so good in the snow. The car was about 3 years old, when one day I got a call from Hubby from the freeway....."The car engine just blew up...." Still don't know what happened inside the engine, but it was shot.

You can thank Ralph Nader for the untimely death of the Corvair.

Back in the '60s and 70's, a lot of people were putting Corvair engines in VW Buses. Nowadays folks are using Subaru engines.

One of my best friends in high school had a corvair...........what a neat little car it was. I would love to have one now.
