I have noticed when there is a drop in the bid, it is usually followed by a sale at the new bid. It usually takes 30-60 seconds for this to happen. My thought is that someone puts a market order in to sell. Then the nice guys that these MM's are, lower the bid, and then take the sale.

You are making an assumption. Probably what happened was the MM at 1.30 went away because of a sell and you are seeing another MM at 1.29 or maybe the same one. It's very dynamic.

Since the original shorter is now at the bid with retail buying, the wholesalers are probably not going to short anymore. They know who he is and they remember that he supplied strong support for the stock early this year. I don't think that they will fight with him. The original shorter needs stock and seems to have some money now. If he stays on the bid from now on to acquire stock then this is the light at the end of the tunnel. As the certs come in, that will be like a stake in the heart of these vampires and will keep them all away. The original shorty is going to keep us supported, how's that for a change of events.

Also, this will cause good order flow and low volume. The shorting is out. The daytraders will not have the roller coaster to motivate them. The sellers have mostly been shaken out. Now we have normal retail buying coming in. Hopefully it will be a slow, smooth ride back up to the levels that will make everyone happy. Next week should be very nice!
