Sal, I will try to access netscape.com with both browsers but my machine (the NT one) is dead. Well It currently has Win 3.1 soon to have '95 because NT has been deinstaled. I ran into major problems associated with my ISDN adapter, basically everything just kind of blew up so I'm going to run '95 for awhile and we put NT on the kids machine, which I'm currently using. I noticed NT being very stable and I do like it. I'm sure we'll figure out the problems but I will probably change my internal ISDN adapter to an external model that uses a com port. I believe the USRX (some things never die!) drivers aree suspect but they were working at one time so who knows.

Of course, most webmasters don't want the headache of having to deal with the extra work, and it does go against "the spirit" of the internet.

I agree, I would like to see the Web not become fragmented into sites you can only view best with browser or another. But it is happening and I do (or will soon) have two browsers on my machine.

BTW, I had been using both Communicator and IE4 under NT and I really like them both. I am more used to Communicator but I have noticed IE4 is faster hitting the back button. I will be playing around with both in time and will report anything usefull.

Derek

Sal, good news! I got (my kid got) NT running again, yeah I'm just happy he was able to do that as I really do like NT. One thing I don't understand though is my IE icon is gone! My kid took off so I can't ask him where it is. I'm not sure why but I was under the impression you coudn't just delete that icon, hmmm - maybe it was something else.
Time to go download IE4 cause he doesn't have our network setup and I still don't have a ZIP drive to grab it off his machine, at least the download will cruise along with ISDN. Oh yeah, DSL service may be in my area very soon but Megabit DSL will not be very affordable. But it will only cost $40 for a 192kbps line, cheaper than ISDN but not the performance of Cable. Can you get Cable or DSL? Oh wait, perhaps you can tap into the university T1 (T3?)

BTW, CompUsa just opened by us so we went down and grabbed Flight Simulator 98 ($29) and Riven, also $29. Those are good prices for new software, you familier with either one?

>>>Oh well, "all's fair in love and war*."

*war = business<<<

Actually, we have laws about both love and money, and for very good reasons. Sorry to get serious on you.;-)

Chaz

P.S. Do Amish businessmen cheat, lie, and try to dominate the world? They are nearly all independent businessmen, right? Somehow I think of them as surviving rather well and being honest at the same time, in a world that doesn't understand them.
