I was told it was because mormons believe you earn your way into heaven and are then ranked accordingly. That contradicts the christian doctrine, Contradicts Jesus's parable of the vineyard workers where all the workers received the same wages regardless of how many hours they worked. The worker who worked all day in the hot blazing sun received the same wages as the worker who worked only an hour in the coolness of the late afternoon.
