hardly....he is only getting that from the rabid rightwing ...i've been reading comments on the story from various news articles and he is almost uniformly vilified as a dirtbag.....exactly how he will be perceived in a general election, if he gets the nomination, god forbid....hindraker nails it

Persecuted? With all the marital, etc. baggage he carries? I don't think so.

It's a sad commentary on American political life that someone with Newt's lack of judgment can be thought of as persecuted. He has made his own bed. O! Must relish the thought of running against him.

The masses love his rhetoric and aggression, but he is simply not electable.
