That's not strange, that's where the money is: < l strange attractor that forces everyone thrown into the Capital to move inexorably leftward. > People go on voting for more money to go to Washington, so of course people who go to Washington encourage more of it and try to get a piece of the action. The Pentagon is going quite well for example. They have got a very big HQ there, even bigger than what Apple proposed for their new HQ which is NOT in Washington and which gets money by voluntary donation, not confiscation by force which is how the Pentagon gets money.
