The Romney's are a success story. They started with nothing...thanks for your post.

What a great American success story, isn't capitalism great, only in America and Obama hates it.

"but the Romneys could not afford an ox cart. They were part of a small, malnourished band that took four years of struggle to make it the 1,300 miles west. "

"the locals detested the Mormons for their polygamy, for their religion and for the fact that the Mormons tended to outwork them"

From what little I've read on the Mormons, their religion was the excuse used to take much improved property by the less productive in the region......they settled in undesirable areas, made garden spots out of them and then their religion became an issue.

Sorta like the democrats of today trying take from the productive.....just a different cast of players.

What are great story about Romney. I look at him much differently now.

Thanks for posting that.

How refreshing to see parents and a family stick together and support their children through thick and thin.

This is very much like the travails of all early Americans.

Think it's time for me to write our family's story.

Kenneth, tell us about your family history------------what makes you different from the early Americans----how did you become a lawyer------what was your religion-----did you have a great grandfather who had to toil to feed his family along with every member of the family? Did your ancestors fight against the French and the British----------were your family members Indian ------were your family members black slaves sold by their own people.

I would truly love to hear your history.

ken..."Mitt Romney’s great-great-grandfather Miles was a member of the church in Nauvoo, Ill., and spent years building a temple"...

Saudi Arabia's king has paid for the building hundreds of moslum temples in the United States of America and hussein obama bows to this moslum king.

I would much sooner have Mormons as neighbors than moslums...how about you ken??
