The real engine of growth is the U.S. not Asia. Asia would not be growing if the U.S. had import restrictions on goods and services. If you look at what these Asia tigers are doing, it looks like a carbon copy of the Japanese model. Export goods to the U.S., and gain market share. Profits are secondary.

The economic problems that are plaguing the Asia Tigers are caused by over speculation.
