It's all about the ugliness of the politics of public destruction. Anyone who doesn't adhere to a zealous fanatical ideology is an evil enemy who is destroying all that's good in the world and must be first scorned, then plowed under in order for goodness and prosperity to prevail. It's a sick Randian view of the world that I want to see represent the Republican party in November and get destroyed itself in the public marketplace, so that sane, rational centrists can once again participate in that party. Let's do the whole radical schtick and get it over with once and for all. Like communism, we will see how utterly bankrupt it is in practice.
