A couple thoughts:

The election is going to pit the Republican nominee not only against the Democratic nominee, but against the entire press corps and entertainment media. He has to be someone who will talk back, take the battle to them and not simply take punches and smile.

Which Republican candidate will Obama's people dread debating the most?

Scaborough reps the tip of the spear against Newt.

He sold us out when he was speaker... he is and opportunist.. blah blah blah.

It all may be true... but life is forward moving and Newt needs to stay on topic.

Obama and his complete failure, at every level, is the answer to every mainstream media question. Not Romneys tax returns or Bain capital or Pauls FP or Newts tenure as speaker.

None of us are what we were decades ago and becoming a grandfather is a life changing moment for anyone with a hart beat.

LB was right when he called Newt's defining moment with King last week.

Lets hope he is able to turn this country around if he makes it.
