We have two cats now, both quite old--18 and 19 years old. One is in amazingly good health; the other not so much so. My guess is these may be the last cats for us. For the same reasons.

We have lost 4 cats in 20 years. Our last one, died a very painful death and my wife buried him in our backyard. It is hard every time as feeding and caring for them makes them like children. We now have one cat, my daughter, and a feral cat that we feed outside. They are Sophia and Bruno. Sophia is a gorgeous Russian Blue, and Bruno is a very large Tuxedo cat. This is a pretty good look-a-like of Sophia: Sorta close to what Bruno looks like but he is bigger and probably a mix.
