"Science has made many purposeful transparent mistakes as the method is dynamic and self correcting going forward. Religion cannot say the same..."

Nicely said...

Science can adjust to facts But for a Christian...mental illness and many physical illnesses will always be caused by demons. The alternative: Jesus, son and father of Jesus was ignorant...or the "gospels" were mythic invented stories.

Therefore, Christians can outgrow the supernatural and become free thinkers, or they can remain stunted and infantile. Science has not the luxury of ignorance. It is compelled to pursue reality. Nowadays we don't build wax wings to fly to the sun. But we can jump out of a plane if we do it right...

You're saying that sure good things are done by religiouis folks but they're all for show and marketing.

How can that be given the vast scale of religious activities in providing services to people ... as I referenced in my previous post. You can't just slough off hundreds of hospitals, schools, childrens homes, etc etc etc (most of which isn't publicized much) as being just for show.

Advances of medical science have saved lives of course, but evolution vs design is irrelevant to such things. How humans got here doesn't matter that much as far as medical science is concerned.
