As someone who has a kid in his second year of Catholic School after six years of public schools (in a California Distinguished School). I can say, without hesitation, you are wrong.

Our parish school offers an opportunity for all who truly care about the education of their kids. The sacrifices of these parents to pay the tuition is a testimony to how blacks and others reject the lies of the loony left and sacrifice for their kids. It is amazing thing to watch. It is sad that the cost limits the opportunity of many to escape the mediocrity of the loony left and their funding unions.

For many it is not at all about religion - it is about the education of their kids. It is powerful to watch. My admiration of these parents knows no bounds.

Bob

<<And history is re-written yet again. Historically, Democrats have been the enemy of blacks. Even today, the entitlement programs supported by Democrats keep much of the poor black population enslaved to government money.

Yeah, that is what you right wingers do, tell the African American's who their real friends are. I think they know. I just sas a south Carolina Black legislator describe how the Republcian's there rig the elections agsainst them through Gerrrymandering and voter suppression practised in the past. It was on Need to Know on PBS.

Maybe your kids find catholic school better, but mine and most of my friends went to public schools their whole lives and did fine at any university they picked.

What more do you want? How is the catholic system doing better than that?

Good lord. Catholic schools are often good for kids who need discipline, but self motivated kids don't need that. And the instructors aer no better.

Half the incoming kids at UC Brerkeley are Asian these days and set the bar for the rest fo the kids which is studying pretty much 24/7. And UC Berkeley has more nobel prize winners than any university on earth. Berkeley, the bastion of the left is one of the most sought after schools in the world. They come from all over the world to teach and study..

Public school.
