The other countries have higher taxes as they value eduction and get those taxes as they are more liberal. << "how do other countries do it"?> Maybe their school systems are run sensibly. Or perhaps not so much political correctness involved, or maybe something else. Whatever, the current system assumes all is well as long as we spend even more money. Maybe the question should be why are we pouring money into a broken system? Why aren't we experimenting with new ideas, testing the performance of those ideas, and changing the system based on what we discover. Look at the successfull schools and try to emulate, instead of repeating the same mistakes over and over.
