If you read the studies they show that for a few years the kids benefit but eventually they do the same as kids who do not participate in head start. You can deny the truth of this or not. But the facts are what they are. Rational people do not deny the evidence, because it does not comport with their view of how things should work. Also I am pretty sure the articles your refer to I think are not current. It is hard to tell because you did not provide links, but to the best of my knowledge the article I posted reflects the latest evidence and if you read the article ( I suspect you didn't) and it was from Time Magazine and reflected the conclusions of the Obama Administration, it is clear that this represents a reversal in thinking. lj
