Mark: I believe the UK is even more sensitive to the H-K problem than India possible probems, and H-K has a double problem, decline in demand (tourism falling apart) and albatros real estate financing that will have to be written off. UK has a lot odf assets in H-K and I do not think they havemany assets left in India.

By the a company with major exposure in India south east Asia and south America is Whirlpool, they may suffer and they are not cheap here.

Mark, UK doesn't get affected much if the Rupee takes a dive. Very few colonial ties exist in today's business. Zeev is right, UK is more affected by HK troubles. Also, he is right on WHR's presense in India. But I am not sure if they sell that many washers and dryers in India.
