Jobs are a minus to making a profit, not a plus. You have to have employees to grow, but they add overhead. So you are constantly trying to minimize your employees vs your volume.

Tell this to the average "Joe Sixpack" and get stomped on.

Create Value, Not Jobs

Treat all economic questions from the viewpoint of the consumer for the interests of the consumer are the interests of the human race.

It argues that which is counter-intuitive - corporations / governments should seek to be as efficient as possible. By becoming more competitive (offering greater value) - ultimately leads to greater growth. When this is not practiced, the end result in economic downturns is massive layoffs. Makes sense to me.
