"Net Fuel Exporter" does not equal energy independence, or even anything resembling it.

We are still importing 9M bbl of crude daily, which is nearly half what we use.

Refined fuels, we're a net inporter of crude which is what we'd be getting via Keystone XL. Not to mention the pipeline and refining work would create jobs for Americans ... something not important to Democrats.
