<<I'm just not in the camp of thinking how to spend more money before we've balanced our budget. We need to be thinking about how to cut expenses, not how to get further in debt. First things first.

How about being in the camp that tries to figure out how to help everyone in our society e.g. think about an uninsured person who needs a hip or knee replacement. Without it every step they take is excrutiating or thye may be crippled. With it they can havre normal movement. Our society has the ability to take care of those people.

Bush spent 4 trillion on two stupid ass warts and a huge build up in the MIC. How many hip replacements would that fund or college tuitions.

Maybe try thinking in reverse e.g. if we have universal health care and free education, maybe we will not have so much extra money to fight wars and be forced tyo cut our bloated defense budget.

Let's take care of our injured first. Ike had the top tax rate of 90% and the 50's was the best time in the countries history.

Get the job done of helping the people who need it and then figure out afterwards how to pay for it.
