Well, I think every modern developed country is a mix of capitalism and socialism. I lean more toward the European mix myself, especially as regards to health care. The system of health care we arrived at in this country wasn't the end result of some PLAN, as the European systems were. It was the result of happenstance and a lack of planning or direction. Market forces, which should, in my view, NEVER have been allowed to be connected to my health. We pay for it now with our high cost for relatively poor outcomes.
