Somehow to improve education we need to improve the home situation of the kids. While that is essentially impossible - it should not be impossible to separate the trouble makers in the schools from those who want to learn. If you have a disruptive classroom there will be no learning. Now - if the loony left will be willing to address this problem - we could make some progress. Until the family situations are improved I really see only continued sadness in the results of our education. I would even consider some kind of boot camp environment to try to add structure to the lives of those who have none. I will grant koan that any education we can import to these kids would be good. However, if the loony left is allowed to continue to wreck the economy - there will be no progress. I get the caring message of the left - I do not get the economic destruction message of the loony left. The loons want to educate kids for jobs that will never exist. Bob

In fact they found kids born in India and who left before they were one year old, could learn Indian many times quicker as adults. I really cannot believe you even said that. It is not worth anyones time to respond to stuff like that. I doubt that even one person on this right wing thread would support your thesis. You are saying school is useless. Do you realize that?
