Newt obviously doesn't have a 56% negative rating among republican primary voters.

But he does among the general election voters. And they're the ones who will vote in November.

Newt high negative rating of 57% is mostly with Democrats and Independents, not Republicans.
Newt's negative rating is not that high if you limit yourself to just the Republican slice of the electorate.
Thus Newt is "very electable" if you just consider Republican voters.
But the posters here only see what they want to see.

So Republicans can commit suicide by selecting him to run in the Fall election against Obama.
I just hope that Romney wins in Florida, but is Newt wins we are going to be stuck with Newt. :-(
