Very expensive polls that someone is giving away for free. Why do they do that? Civic duty?

Polls don't decide my opinions. I do. And I know that a person with a 56% unfavorable opinion has never been elected president. I also acknowledge the fact that many Americans hate Newt Gingrich with a passion.

That doesn't mean he can't win. It means he'll have to reverse his negative polls to win. The question is how is he going to do it (not whether he should).

As for Romney, I'm less concerned with whether he can get along with Democrats than whether he can beat Obama. When it comes time for me to vote here in my state, I'll vote for the candidate I think has the best chance to beat Obama.
