Romney has the best chance to get independent voters, but it doesn't come down to voters. It comes down to a handful of states. Will Romney help win those states. Fla yes, VA & NC maybe not, Ohio yes, Wisc yes.

it's all about the battle ground states. Romney could win all the independnets here in MD and Obama would still win

The only reason you can say Newt is unpopular is because of polling, which was my point.

He cannot beat Obama and his $1 billion campaign war chest unless he becomes more popular with the general electorate. How does he plan to do this?

Neither can Romney given the above. Polls say its finished, lets just cancel the election ok?
