What are you talking about? Of course politicians are going to meddle with the tax code. It's one of their favorite ways of weilding influence on society and the economy. That and throwing "stimulus" money around that supposedly "create jobs."

As for Romney, so what if he paid only 15% on his income for the past two years? That income represents long-term gains, which demonstrates some good investment decisions Romney made years ago. Doesn't mean I think that should be his "fair share" of the tax burden, but I do think it's being unfairly portrayed by both the left and the right.

Besides, I would rather have a smart guy like that running for president than a political opportunist who uses "language of the left" to destroy his opponents, then casts himself as a "true conservative."
