GM is impressive, no doubt, but Apple could shave $100 off all iPhones and still have an iPhone GM over 45%. I'm trying to figure out if they have started to try competing with the low end mass market Androids yet. I don't think that math works, but not inclined to work it out this evening. A good question is: when/if Apple becomes a true cell phone company designing product specifically for each price point. Instead of the "hand me down" model. I'm not sure the current model works as the smartphone market matures. Hard to argue with these guys.... They are just kicking butt. It seems like they need to revise the model, from all common wisdom, but who is gonna second guess 37 million iPhones?
