you are absolutely right that most theories are hogwash. if you want to be right over 90% of the time just say a rumor of a buyout of a company won't happen. whenever you hear a proposed basketball/football/baseball trade, just say it won't happen and you will be right almost every time. the nice part about your theorie is you have tried to back it up with more than the mysterious 'source' which can not be disclosed. but more times than not this 'source' turns out to be your pet cat (sorry to dog lovers, but cats are much smarter and can easily manipulate their owners with this type of info). ofcourse there are many reasons for the block trades with accumulation being only one possible reason.
