I remember them too and they were very good. But I always wondered why the college didn't pay him, as they do with most lecturers. Why did he need to have it "funded" by some outside non profit organization?

If/When this board reads the article I posted by Byron York, complete with names, dates and fact, they will ALL understand what has happened.....York didn't call it a witch hunt, but I sure as heck can, and do! Then when/if they read the 1997 WaPo article about the end of the partisan affair about Newt, they will for sure understand the situation! I can well understand now why Newt was so upset about the whole thing.....and perhaps this is why both the Repubs and Dems are so upset to even contemplate that Newt is doing so well right now.....They might be afraid the truth will finally come out and land in Americans laps.....Hopefully Byron York's piece will be read by MANY people....
