The fact that the Republican Congress deliberately "muffed" the repeal of the light bulb law makes me very wary of getting anything repealed.

You can't whole-cloth throw it out. But you can substantially change what's been done.

Romney said basically the same thing in one of the debates. I can't remember which one, but it was one of the more recent debates.

I predict the end of the Republican Party legitimately. It won't be worth fighting for if the party itself does not think it worth fighting for its voters. If the GOP takes back the White House, it's voters will expect a real fight, not a half-hearted attempt.

I had a long talk on the phone with a leading Tea Party state representative last night. She has been very active and got a chance to go to SC last week and attend the first debate and meet with several TP state reps. She also got a chance to meet and talk with Herman Cain and Dick Morris. She was told that the TP has "taken over" in several states and the GOP is fighting back and re-taking some states. The republican party has a real fight on their hands, and I predict.............if they don't change their way............in 10 yrs time...............they will be a minor party.
