Samsung's Line 16(fab) is actually larger than Fab 5 - 198,000 square meters vs. 187,000 square meters. The speed at which they plan to ramp it is unknown.

Sam, I got the same impression as you regarding the financial report and the cc discussion. However, there is one interesting thing in the financial statement that seems to have been overlooked:

Book value per share has now increased to almost $29. Cash and marketable securities now are more than $24 per share. So one way you can look at this is that cash represents half the market value of the stock, currently trading just below $48, and about 80% of shareholder equity.

The ratio of cash and marketable securities to market price is more than twice the cash/market value of Apple.

Is Apple overpriced? Is SanDisk underpriced?

Or is SanDisk ripe for takeover?
