The oex put was too expensive for me. The dow mini is much cheaper. A 7700 put is 200 dollars. I think the way to look at it is percentages. 200/7700 is about 3%. I'm really not an index options expert, though. The trader who's the expert who bought it for me said that the mini was a better buy. Maybe because it's newer. Also, there's so many S&P funds, that's gotta increase the price of their options.
