Yes it is. However, we need balance? Do we want to be energy independent, especially reducing our oil imports? Under Obama we have reduced oil imports by 50%. I bet you didn't know that, given the level of oil company belly aching that goes on. Anyway, what if through the use of natural gas vehicles we were able to eliminate our need for all foreign oil? Then would we need to engage in wars in the Middle East? Would we give two shits about the Middle East? I don't think so.

So yes, natural gas fracking is a major concern that needs to be addressed, but I'd say the more immediate concern is the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and the trillions of dollars we've spent over there with no return except for returning soldiers many of whom have lives that are ruined and beyond repair. Time to get balanced in our decision making. I think Obama is doing the right thing here.
