the second patent is the key here. What that one is doing is combining the mirasol with a tiny solar cell embedded around hte pixel. So they would get like a solor array about half the size of the total display size if you take the % of coverage into account. Interesting combo as the ereader could then live for a long long time without a charge. Or you could just place it in teh sun and let it charge when not in use. Using hte Imod part of trap the solar part into the array.
