It's a whole new world now in terms of reproduction and with complete genomes available, a very detailed specification will be possible. Vast tracts of junk and disastrous dna will be able to be removed.

Air fares around the world are tiny compared with incomes. 100 years ago, international travel was a once in a lifetime event for very few people. Now it's an annual rite for hordes if not more regularly. Look at TJ's tribal globe hopping for example. Mine is not quite as hectic but very regular.
