Why is it the 'wrong time' for a social conservative? There is much more at stake in this election than the hesitance to elect someone who may be 'socially conservative', and that label is being repeatedly used by the mainstream media to deflect support from Rick Santorum.

I believe Ronald Reagan possessed the exact same type of 'nice guy' personality. It's time for the country to stop paying so much attention to 'image' and 'charisma'. Clinton and Obama had both (or were at least attributed with both by the powers that be).

It seems that what we need right now is someone who doesn't need a 'debate coach' in order to speak his mind; someone who doesn't sculpt what he says based on the audience to whom he is speaking; and someone who is running simply because he wants to reclaim our republic from the scoundrels who have been in charge for the past three (actually many more) years. That may sound like a Pollyanna type vision, and a vast generalization, but those who know Rick Santorum know that he is indeed that kind of man -- and that kind of man is a complete anomaly in American politics today, which is part of the reason we are standing at a precipice today.

,<< his nice guy personality doesn't come across as Presidential.>>

I see it differently. He frequently looks like his shorts are in a wad. He is too intense appearing.

I hope he does well in FL and think he might . But.....I do not see him reaching the primary.

I believe he is the one who would take on Obama in a debate versus Romney who would be too deferential and Newt who would likely be too politic.

Obama's people would paint Santorum as a modern day war mongering Goldwater and a religious freak.

I wish him well as I believe he is an excellent example of someone who could compete against the media pitch of how much Obama loves his family.
