There was an article in Barron's this past weekend that mentioned that the "Prudent Bear" mutual fund is short Agouron. And Jesse
Eisenger has quoted "an anonymous influential hedge fund manager" who is short the stock.

Some institution could be doing it to hedge a large long position.
Who knows?
I doubt if many follow the company as we do, or know what a great success Viracept has been for AIDS patients, or know that Viracept's market share keeps increasing, while Merck's decrease.

The open interest last night for Nov 42 1/2 puts was 4331. So they may have rolled them over. It doesn't mean they'll keep them there. Anyone know how to check?
