Yo! BGL, (also off topic) Many ways into a position as an "analyst". Any way you can gain employment with a firm in the business is the most obvious and direct method. Achieving the CFA charter should help, although enrollment in the program has exploded and, by the time one completed the process (passing three exams sequentially, which are offered once per year), the designation may not carry the cachet that it does today. (It is, nonentheless, a valuable exercise) Best advice I could give you is to simply get started in that direction. Gainful employment with a firm that can facilitate such a career path is your best start. regards, spb
