How can you not have the government involved and have the fed.

you can't. but you can have the government involved in creating a currency and still have a free market in money.

How can you have a fiat currency without government involvement.

you can't. the whole point of a fiat currency is to have one that represents the whole nation. only the federal government has the power to create a national fiat currency. they let reserve banks run it to supposedly stop any federal influence. a fiat currency doesn't interfere with any free market.

i'm not saying our currency is being run correctly. i've told you over and over that i don't think it is. i just don't think it should be scrapped. instead, we should get people that would manage it correctly.

yes we have a common currency and it would be better if we could keep it.
