yes, except most social issues (with the exception of programs like affirmative action that directly intervene in the economy) are totally irrelevant to economics. and bad economic policies are the biggest factor that's killing this country. we'd better fix the economy first and worry about the social issues later. we're on the edge of disaster and not one politician understands how dire our economic situation is, with possible exception of ron paul.
