TA "as is" is worthless, stocks give a shit on support and resistence levels and Fibonacci and Elliot Waves and .. BUT many people believe in charts and act accordingly. That impact makes it work, even the FED uses TA !
I doubt that there is only a random correlation; my impression is that charts work fine as long as the market is heading clearly in one direction (up or down).
