Reading that you finally agree that Gspan 'misjudged' Y2K and the continued post Y2k low interest rate environment is music to my ears.

What you are saying, in a wonderfully understated way, is that you agree that Gspan made an utter dog's breakfast of things. Now, I know full well that you'll deny, spin, argue, etc., but that's OK, we have finally moved Maurice the Stubborn.

Progress, at last. It took years, but to say that I played a small part in changing your mind is gratifying.

Now that you are the pond, perhaps you'll drink. It would be nice if you studied, really studied, the effect of negative real rates of return on the price of gold.

But one small step at a time....
